Overview
The University of Iceland is the national organizer of World Robot Olympiad™ in Iceland. WRO® Iceland is organized by the University of Iceland – NýMennt, in cooperation with university partners and volunteers.

WRO® Iceland primarily collects information about adult coaches, school or organization contacts, and other adult coordinators.
The website generally does not request personally identifiable information about student team members. To place teams in the correct age groups, it may be necessary to process birth year or age group information.
If a team qualifies for an international event, additional information about students and coaches may be required for registration, travel, or other practical arrangements.
Personal data is used only for organizing, running, and following up WRO® activities in Iceland.
During the WRO® Iceland national tournament, organizers, media, or other visitors may take photos and videos of the event, teams, visitors, and projects.
Such material may be used to promote WRO® Iceland, STEAM education, and robotics activities in printed material, online, on social media, or in news coverage.
Information is not sold or shared with unrelated parties. In connection with international events, necessary information may be shared with WRO® organizers abroad or other parties involved in organizing the relevant event.
Information is retained for as long as necessary for organization, delivery, registration, accounting, or follow-up connected to the relevant WRO® season.
Individuals have the right to information about personal data processing, access to their own personal data, and, where applicable, correction, deletion, or restriction of processing. These rights are governed by data protection law and the general Data Protection Policy of the University of Iceland.
